This is Maddie. She was on IAAP's waiting list the same time we found Sarah. She was a child most people were afraid to adopt. She had (still has) trouble with expressive language. They were afraid she my have autism. Look at her now! She has been home about one year. She just turned 6 years old. Isn't she amazing!!! Wow, what love does!
Update: I got e-mail from Maddie's mom. Maddie has only been home 6 months (I stand corrected) and already knows 450 signs. and "The speech pathologist said the rate at which she is acquiring language is almost scary" So there now! She is a smart cookie and as cute as they come!!!
