The new episode of Adoption( number 11) is about older adopted kids. These kids are the extreme side of growing up in a bad institution. We deal with institutional behavior in a minor way. On the one hand it is hard. On the other hand these kids need someone to help them. It is nothing for the unprepared parent. If you want to adopt an older child you need to do it with your eyes wide open. All people have worth. You shouldn't feel bad if you just could not adopt an older child. Adopt a younger child, and they will not spend their lives in an institution. This video teaches me how important boundaries are to kids. Responsibility is good for kids. Love and trust can be taught.
