I bought Sarah a book that has over 200 exercises for pre writing. She is doing a good job holding her pencil. She has to draw straight lines, and color in the lines. I think when she gets through this book she will be ready to begin writing her ABC's. Sarah just turned 6 years old, but I still think of her as a 4 1/2 to 5 years old developmentally. She will spend one extra year in kindergarten. We are doing catch up on the pre school. I'm pretty sure she will do well in school once she begins. She is a smart girl. Her language is delayed and her hand strength is weak. We are seeing good progress in all areas.
